The new buzzword among sports teams and coaches right now is “mindfulness” and for good reason. Being a “neck-up player” or leading with your mind is crucial for ensuring a team is successful on and off the court. The fastest and strongest players will only carry a team so far. Rather, Tony Bennett, the head coach of the University of Virginia men’s basketball team, explains that the players with the proper mindset are the ones that really glue the team together and make for a wining squad.
