In recent years, much attention has been paid to the rapid decline in bee populations across the world as a result of excessive pesticide use. The issue is of particular concern not only because of the implications on honey production, but also because of the vital role bees play in the sustainability of plant life. As bee populations decline, the effects ripple through entire ecosystem. The EU recently put a ban on the pesticides that seem to be the root issue of the decline.
