Darren Wendroff is the founder and CEO of CareSpotter, a website that helps families find private, professional caregivers in their community. In June 2012, he became the caregiver for his mother Carolyn Wendroff who had un-expectantly been diagnosed with Stage-4 stomach cancer and stayed with her until her passing in August 2012. Moved from his experience as a family caregiver and after learning how poorly professional caregivers are paid by agencies, he started CareSpotter. CareSpotter was selected to participate in the prestigious Healthbox Business Accelerator as well as the 2014 Orlando EDC Innovator of the Year. Formerly he was COO of the accounting firm Wendroff & Associates, CPA, and he worked as a magazine editor for Men's Health magazine and Bonnier Corporation. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and Army Veteran, and lives in Orlando, Florida.
