Harmony Slater began practicing yoga in 1995, leaving behind a career as a ballet dancer and putting the pieces back together from a life-threatening eating disorder. In 2002, she traveled to China to study Buddhist meditation, and in 2004, she began an epic period of travel, spending well over three years studying and living in India over the following fifteen years.
